We are on the move! Did you know that our professional learning workshop series for the 2026-2027 academic year will take place at our new Childcare Resources training building? That's right, starting August 29th, we will welcome Conscious Discipline certified instructor Abbi Kruse as she presents Leading with Conscious Discipline.

Together, we will strengthen our ability to shift our perception of behavior and create cognitive safety for children. We will read behavior through a brain-slate model to foster connection and learning. We will also discover how to build executive function through relationships, routine and play. Save the date, registration will open soon.

Each and every day within our outreach programming is about learning, connecting, and celebrating the incredible work happening in early childhood education.  And speaking of celebrating, we have a very special moment coming up, the announcement of our Early Childhood Educator of the Year!

This award recognizes someone who inspires children, supports families, and makes a lasting difference every single day. The excitement has been building, and in just a few weeks, we will reveal the 2025-2026 recipient. Get ready to join us, at our next professional learning workshop on August 29th, as we celebrate this extraordinary early childhood educator who truly embodies the heart of our profession.

Speaking of moving...what are some creative ways you have implemented this summer to get your students moving and grooving throughout their day? Kids need physical activity and movement; play is one of the most effective and joyful ways to make it happen.

When it's during recess, in the classroom, or at home, active play helps kids stay physically healthy and mentally engaged. It's more than just a break from routine, it's a critical part of child development. When kids play, they build motor skills and physical strength, develop stronger relationships with their peers, and return to the rest of their day more focused and ready to thrive.

Together we are wishing you a summer filled with joy, inspiration, and anticipation of a new journey ahead!

Wishing you all the best,

Amanda, Todd, and Jensen
