Childcare Resources of Indian River celebrated the accomplishments of its Class of 2026 during a special graduation ceremony recognizing the young learners as they prepare to take their next step into kindergarten.
Surrounded by teachers, families, and volunteers, students proudly celebrated this important milestone and the growth and skills they developed throughout their time at Childcare Resources. More than 90% of Childcare Resources students graduate kindergarten ready, reflecting the organization’s commitment to providing high-quality early learning experiences that prepare children for future success.
“Graduation is a wonderful reflection of the heart of our mission,” said Childcare Resources executive director, Shannon McGuire Bowman. “These students demonstrate what is possible when children have access to nurturing, developmentally focused early learning opportunities. We are honored to prepare them for kindergarten and remain committed to leading the way in early childhood education in Indian River County.”
Longtime Childcare Resources volunteers Donna Rana and Claudia McNulty joined the celebration, helping students prepare for their special day and cheering them on as they walked across the stage. Their continued support has helped create meaningful experiences for children and families throughout the school year.
“Seeing these children reach this point in their journey is truly special,” said Rana. “It has been wonderful to watch them grow. I am inspired by everything they have accomplished and excited for all that is ahead as they begin kindergarten.”
The first five years of a child’s life are foundational, shaping the development that supports lifelong success. Childcare Resources is proud to celebrate the vital role early learning plays in giving children a strong start.
